I want it to keep following the same person even if a second person walks into the frame. Right now the tracker often switches to the newcomer. Is there a reliable way to prevent that
Hello @Djigen
If your application is for a single user, you can try setting the “activeUsers” field in nuitrack.config to 1.
Hello @Djigen
Did this method help you?
I have these problems too:
I have done many presentations with 3 or more people and even if Nuitrack at first captures the one standing in front the sensor it oftens switches automatically to the one on the edge many centimeters behind the first one, i have also set the maximum distance but with no major improvements
Hi,
Yes it works good! thanks for your help!

Hello @Tora24
Have you tried this method?Have you tried this method? Can I force a camera tracker to keep tracking the same person when someone new enters? - #2 by Stepan.Reuk
yes i did, it works as intended, it only tracks one person, the problem is that it often switches randomly the tracking person:
if i stay in front of the camera, and Nuitrack tracks me correctly, if someone passes behind me (not in front of me, behind me) or simply stays on the edge of the tracking area, the sensor switches to the other person.
We’d like to fix the tracking user no matter how many people move behind the person in front
further discussion on this topic Limit the tracking area to a specific rectangle
