I’ve connected an Astra 2 to a new machine (Windows 10). Installed Orbbec drivers, installed Nuitrack SDK. The Orbbec Viewer app shows the Astra 2 as a USB 3.0 device, and all the data feeds work. Windows device manager shows the Astra 2 with no issues. I’ve experimented with different leads, different ports etc but no matter what I do the Nuitrack App fails to discover the sensor. I’ve reinstalled everything, tried previous versions of Nuitrack SDK as well as the latest 0.38.1. Can you please advise as to why Nuitrack is failing to find the camera?
Hi @jp887, please check VID / PID of your Astra 2 sensor through a Windows device manager or Orbbec Viewer.
It’s possible that some new revisions get new IDs which aren’t configured in Nuitrack yet.
If it wouldn’t be clear after that, we’ll arrange a remote session to diagnose, as there should be no issue with Astra 2 discovery in Nuitrack.
Hi @TAG Thanks for your response. I will check VID/PID however I suspect this is not the issue as I have already had this sensor working (mostly) with Nuitrack on a different machine. On that machine I did have various issues getting Nuitrack to recognise the Astra 2, but I eventually got it working by using a USB-C to USB-A cable instead of the USB-C to USB-C cable provided by Orbbec. For some reason, Nuitrack was able to find it after that.
Now I am trying to set up a different machine, but on this machine no matter what cables I use I cannot get Nuitrack to find the sensor despite it working perfectly in Orbbec Viewer. Feel free to email me to organise a remote diagnostic session. Thanks.
