Urgent: LicenseNotAcquiredException in Unity

I have an activation/install for a client tomorrow and one of my machines continues to give me a “LicenseNotAcquiredException”, after 3 minutes … it believes it’s still a trial even though I’ve activated my Nuitrack Pro subscription multiple times on the machine and have rebuilt my app with the license on the Nuitrack Manager.

I’m really frustrated with this, I’ve purchased my subscriptions and I’ve spent hours trying to make this work. What am I doing wrong? What is the process to get this license working.

Hi @Callum,
If Nuitrack behaves like in a Trial mode (3 minutes limit, please make sure it’s not 3 seconds as operated without a license at all), then previously activated Trial license is somewhere in your system controlling this behavior.

Please try the following steps:

  • uninstall Nuitrack
  • make sure that no license file is presented at C:\Program Files\Nuitrack\nuitrack\nuitrack\data
  • install and activate Perpetual license or Subscription as usual and check UI license status in Nuitrack.exe (please check picture below).

(during these steps you don’t have to do anything with a Unity app if you use our conventional Unity package - as it just connects to Nuitrack which installed to the system at NUITRACK_HOME).

If this doesn’t help - please make sure you haven’t hard-coded trial activation key into your app (NuitrackManager.cs in our Unity Package allows to activate directly from Unity without showing Nuitrack.exe, it also exports this feature as a property in Unity)

I reinstalled everything and tried again still with no luck on my pro subscription. I ended up buying another license (a perpetual license this time) and it worked. I have no idea what was going on there but it wouldn’t qualify my pro subscription for some reason.

Hi @Callum, got it, but please reach us directly through a Help Desk to resolve issue with a problematic license (also - currently we couldn’t find any subscriptions associated with your account, only 2 Nuitrack AI Perpetual licenses).

That’s really strange… there should be 2 pro subscriptions on my account. I’ve started a ticket for the one that was misbehaving. Thanks.
