Hi.
I am currently interested in using nuitrack on unreal engine for a VR and multiplayer game. It will involve the tracking of several players (up to 6) probably with every one of them using a different PC. I have been looking for reviews about the sensors and i have seen that they recommend orbbec astra + in one of the posts on this exact web for one user. Having in mind that my game will be multiplayer, Would it work if I use an Orbbec astra + per every player simoultaniously connected? How many sensors can I connect at the same time? Could I use a better and more expensive sensor but capable of tracking everyone at the same time if on the same room?
I would really appreciate some help. Thanks in advance.
Hello @NestorTWD
At the moment, orbbec astra+ is a good choice.
Nuitrack is capable of tracking up to 6 people at a time by a single sensor, but it is recommended to use no more than two (especially for active games)
Tell us more about your case so that we can help (perhaps there are some photos or videos of reference projects)
We haven´t much to show at the moment, but if I needed to share some photos or videos in the future I will have it in mind. The problem comes when we try to track more than 2 people at the same time or when we use more than two sensors at the same time? I didn´t understand this very well.
Fewer players on each sensor - better tracking
Also, the viewing angle of the sensors is very limited and a large number of players may not fit or will interfere with each other
